Elder Mediation
Creating Workable Solutions
Elder Mediation
Family members often struggle to make difficult decisions and do not always agree on issues related to aging parents, the distribution of assets, how to care for parents as they age and how to share responsibility. That’s where Julie’s elder mediation services can be invaluable. Utilizing a neutral mediator can help you listen to each other, find common ground and get past struggles that were likely a lifetime in the making.
Julie serves as a neutral person – a mediator who can facilitate difficult discussions, listen to each family member’s individual perspective and help bridge those different perspectives and interests into a workable solution for the family.

Education In Mediation
Dealing with aging parents, family dynamics and end of life issues can be challenging. There are legal issues to understand, health issues to address and financial decisions to be made. Families need to know their options and find ways to help each other through this time.
You don’t have to navigate these decisions alone. Julie is a hospice volunteer and trained in end-of-life care. She combines that experience with her mediation skills to help you learn what to expect and minimize family conflict while going through it.
What to Expect
Julie is a very creative problem solver with a commitment to finding options that reduce conflict. When working with her you can expect Julie to do the following: :
- Minimize and neutralize conflict to keep you focused on your path to a new life
- Tailor the discussion and mediation to your unique, individual needs
- Ensure your process addresses more than just the law
- Honestly face the reality of the decisions that must be made
- Creatively find options for resolution
- Weigh the strengths and vulnerabilities of each option.
Benefits of Mediation by Video Conference
Our society has also changed and now videoconferencing has given people a more efficient way to meet with professionals. Having conducted hundreds of mediations by video conference since March 2020, Julie has found that it reduces conflict in the mediation process, reduces anxiety because people do not need to be physically together, and it is more efficient.
